A little about us:
Shortly after we met, I (Tim) went over to Helen's home in New York with my guitar and I played some songs of my own and so did Helen on piano. I played a riff and she asked what song that was and I said
"I don't know yet, let's just make something up."
That turned out to be the beginning of our first song that we wrote together, "My Soul Wants to Sing" on their first date.
In 2017 “From the Aether” was officially born.
We are an acoustic guitar duo that writes and sings our own music. We both sing and write with the occasional addition of piano or synthesizer. If you are asking what "type" of music it is, well its better if you listen and determine yourself.
When coming up with melodies or words to write and even our band name, we feel it is best to let things flow through us rather than think too much.
Our songs are all very different. They seem to come from 'somewhere else' when guitar riffs and words come out of nowhere to improvise the start of a new song. We then try to facilitate and make sense of these channelings, or so to speak, to refine our finished production.
We have our own style even if it influenced by too many things to name. With guitar and piano plus having 2 dynamic voices, we can really do ANY style we wanted. We have no defining 'genre'.
Our art and music simply comes "From The Aether".
In July 2017 we explored the beauty of Germany and Austria. We performed in an artists’ exhibition in Bavaria.
Helen and I played at an open mic night at the Panther Pub in Andover, New Jersey ran by Gabriel Francis. We decided to record a 6 song EP with him at Backroom Studios.
Since December 2017 we have been traveling through America with our travel trailer, exploring America and getting inspiration from her.
We have met some great people already so if you ARE one of those people who got a card from us or checked us out after seeing us in person then please keep in touch!
To heal and inspire is our mission and it starts with you.
Thank you for listening to our music!
